Artist's Description

On the western shore of Lake Michigan dead trees gather in the sun. They have been pushed here after falling in the water by the fierce waves on windy days the lake is famous for.
Their bark gone now and only bleached white wood remains of what once were tall proud trees that ruled the forest.
Now they are merely broken skeletons on the shore left in the wind to dry and crack.
One day they will be nothing more than wood for a bonfire their noble past long forgotten.
