Artist's Description

After trekking over uneven ground in the desert long before dawn I arrived at the arch. I was alone and my hands were freezing. Who knew Death Valley would be so cold before the sun rose and so hot later in the day. As the sun lit the sky I clicked the shutter many times to get this shot of the golden arch lit by the sun as it forced its way into the blue sky.
This is one of my favorite photos from my adventure in Death Valley in the spring of 2022.
