Quiet. Quiet like no where else along the Kettle Moraine trail in Wisconsin.
The kind of quiet that almost makes your ears hurt searching for sound, and sunlight streaking through the trees making shadows on the ground.
I wonder what is beyond in the trees. A trail? A dead-fall? A body? Not even the sounds of birds.
Too quiet.
