Artist's Description
While I waited patiently for the sun to set along the river in downtown Milwaukee, music from the park at the end of the bridge drifted along on a light breeze.
My attention was drawn to the plaintive sound of an acoustic guitar and a woman’s voice singing a ballad I had not heard before. She and a small group of friends had gathered in the park to enjoy the night air and the peace the river brings.
Boats large and small filled with people enjoying an evening cruise on the calm water moved silently in the dark on this late summer night. I could hear them talking from far away as they approached the bridge.
I waited until the music faded to take the shot to capture the color of this vibrant city where people share their ethnicity and culture with anyone who will take the time to listen.
And watch the colors change on the river.
About GLENN Mohs
