Description
When I think of the wide open spaces of the Midwest I think of the mountains west of Sheridan Wyoming. This great vista with a view of the end of the earth makes me wonder what lies beyond.
I appreciate the first pioneers who carried everything they needed with them, not knowing if there was water or desert ahead, food to eat or if they would be stopped by insurmountable mountains.
Yet they went forward to discover new treasures like this where I spent for most of the afternoon watching the light play across the valley.
