Artist's Description

The East end of the Colorado river near where it enters the desert.
The river is less than five hundred feet below a bridge and offered an outstanding view under a bright blue sky.
The red rocks on the left once were resistant to erosion, now the softer rocks offer less resistance.
The Colorado river is used for drinking water, irrigation and to produce electricity for cities all the way from its headwaters in Rocky Mountain National Park before it dissipates, never reaching the sea.
