Artist's Description

Of course, there are icebergs. This is Iceland. These relatively small pieces of the glacier have broken off and paused for a while in a secluded bay protected from the relentless wind. The sun had been at work melting them here and had created interesting shapes like the hole in the middle of one. As I got my camera ready, they began to move as if by an unseen hand and crashed against each other. The sound was unlike anything I had ever heard, a mixture of a car crash and an expensive crystal glass shattering on a granite floor.
