Description
Fall in Wisconsin is a great time of year. I enjoy the weather when it cools to a comfortable seventy degrees during the day and the evenings wearing a light jacket while sitting around a campfire enjoying smores.
The road to this relaxing place in the woods is narrow and my cell phone no longer connects with the world. No one can reach me and I turn it off so I can enjoy the peace and quiet.
As I stood in the middle of the road with only the sound of a few birds that seemed to be interested in why I was there I was struck by how much I had left behind when I turned off the highway and how much I had to look forward to when I went on my way deeper into the woods.
